Using the Reminder App for “Life Reminders”

Here’s a good tip to help build better habits: use your phone’s native reminder app to set life reminders that help you think straight on a daily basis. Studies show that on average it takes about 66 days to develop new habits (good and bad). And to develop new habits, you need to do that thing consistently on a daily basis. So what does this mean for you?

I’ve compiled a list in my reminder app called “Life Reminders”. In my list, I add reminders like drink water (on repeat every day at different times), watch my posture and sit up straight, breath (they actually have that app on the iwatch now). At the beginning of each day, I ask myself “What is the one thing I can do such that by doing it everything else becomes easier or unnecessary?” (One Thing by Gary Keller). I also add motivational and inspiration reminders like, celebrate my achievements for the day (at the end of each day), ask myself if I learned anything new today, and think of a few things to be grateful for.

The reminder app is one of the most underrated apps, and I think we should all utilize it as much as possible. What are some of the things you will add to your list so that by seeing it every day, you will be better and build better habits?
